Title: Reasons
Author: Hotaru
Fandom: Prince of Tennis
Characters/Pairing: AtobeShinji
Rating: K
Summary: The reason for Atobe to like Shinji was not a simple one.
A/N: I dunno, just got this in my head and couldn’t get it out until I’d written it.. What’s this coupling called, anyway?
The reason Atobe Keigo liked Ibu Shinji was not a simple one. In fact, it was so complicated that not even Atobe himself could explain it. ”It’s a secret meant to be shared only by two.” Atobe usually said when he was asked. The only time he hadn’t been able to say that was when Shinji asked him.
Because the truth was; he hadn’t a clue.
Shinji had been displeased with not getting an answer from him, naturally, and had started mumbling again. Atobe had stared at the other boy for a shile, then pulled him into an embrace, surprising the blackhaired boy from Fudomine.
”I don’t know.” Atobe had confessed a while later. ”Ore-sama just enjoy spending time with you, Shinji.”
Shinji had gazed back at him for a while, then he started mumbling about Atobe’s stupid pride, couldn’t he just say so from the start? Really, why did he have to be so…
Atobe supposed that this was one of Shinji’s traits that he liked. Yes, he really liked how simple, but yet, how complicated, Shinji could be, was, always would be.
